Diagnosing & Treating Dry Eye

Dry eye is a medical condition that occurs when the body does not produce enough tears. Since tears are the only source of lubrication for the eyes, they become very dry and irritated when the tears are unable to properly do their job. This can be caused by a number of different reasons including aging, side effects from medication, failing to blink regularly, and windy or smoky environments. Dry eyes can cause a lot of complications, so it is best to find a way to effectively lubricate the eyes as soon as you experience some symptoms.

Dry eye typically causes a distinct set of symptoms. A few of the most common symptoms you will experience are redness, light sensitivity, blurry vision, eye fatigue, and a burning sensation on the eyes.
